On our yoga retreat Cornwall you’ll stay in gorgeous Mongolian-style yurts.
They’re the ultimate in luxury camping and offer a unique back to nature experience.
The wood-burning stove in the yurts will keep you warm on cooler evenings.
Solar powered fairy lights add to the magical atmosphere.
Each yurt has its own fire pit. We’ll be cooking on an open fire and relaxing around it to enjoy the bright stars at night. What a wonderful adventure!
The yurt’s contain a double bed and single futons as well as flowers from the garden, beautiful bed spreads and colourful rugs. The bathrooms are a short stroll away.

Taking the time for myself in such a beautiful, natural and welcoming environment has done wonders, I felt calmer and more at peace than ever. Jen really does put her heart and soul into planning the weekends perfectly, the sessions were wonderfully varied and tailored to the time of day and length of the weekend. Her cooking is really impressive, everything was dairy & gluten free and still managed to be delicious and super satisfying, my skin and digestion are still reaping the benefits and I'll definitely be trying some of the recipes at home! Overall, Jen is a wonderful instructor, she is patient, encouraging, has a lovely soothing voice and encourages a bit of a sense of humour! I had a fab, fab time and will seek her out for another retreat in the future.

Start the day with a vibrant vinyasa flow yoga class. This fluid, dynamic and invigorating form of yoga will leave you energised and glowing! In the afternoon you’ll love the deeply calming and yin & restorative yoga classes. You’ll float out of these classes feeling revitalised and relaxed.
Your yoga classes will be filled with accessible teachings and ideas to inspire you and help you reconnect with what’s important to you and to feel so good about yourself. You’ll also experience meditation sessions and guided relaxations to leave you feeling serene, centered and with a new perspective on meditation.
Your yoga teacher, and Shine Yoga founder, Jennifer Austin passionately believes that yoga classes should feel fun, relaxed and inclusive. She loves to create exciting, flowing, original classes with careful sequencing in a joyful atmosphere. Her classes include laughter, new challenges, wisdom, music, meditation, poetry and anything else she can think of to make you feel really good.
There are 2 stunning spaces for yoga; a warm and comfortable indoor converted barn and outside in the sunshine if the weather allows. Over the retreat there will be 6 yoga classes. On your arrival and departure days these will be 60 minutes, then on Saturday and Sunday they will 90 – 120 minutes each.

I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect few days… Sumptuous food (quite simply divine!), ‘magical’ digs, excellent teaching and wonderful company. Absolutely, lots of guests on arrive independently on our yoga retreat Cornwall. There is a warm, kind and friendly atmosphere with communal activities and plenty of opportunity for you to take some quiet time for yourself too.
If you are travelling independently you will be sharing a yurt with two other lovely guests. There are two single futons and one double bed in each yurt so there will be plenty of space for you all.

One of the most rewarding and awesome things about yoga retreats is the amazing like minded people you will meet on the retreats. Everyone goes away with pages of their notebook full of books to read, films to watch, podcasts to listen to as well as new friends. The weekend is filled with laughter and conversation and fun and you’ll be amazed how quickly you make wonderfully supportive friendships.
Yes, we eat our meals together and people tend to group together to participate in activities, take a walk or just have a nice chat but everyone also has time to themselves to read,relax in the hammock, meditate or nap in their yurt.
You are welcome to arrive any time after 4.30pm on Friday evening. There will be a gentle evening yoga session to work out the travel kinks and start the relaxation process followed by a welcome dinner.
The weekend will end with a morning yoga session and breakfast before checkout at 10am on Monday morning. If you are unable to stay till Monday you can plan to head off on Sunday instead.
You can fly direct to Newquay airport from many cities in the UK and Europe.
From Newquay airport it’s about a 50 minute transfer to the yoga retreat Cornwall. The cost of a taxi will be around £50.

If you are travelling from London to the yoga retreat Cornwall we recommend booking the 12.05pm train from London Paddington on Friday and the 11.19am train back from Bodmin Parkway on the Monday.
Had such a special and restorative weekend, thank you SOooo much. The food was fantastic and has inspired me to get creative again, the yoga was so great, so nice to have the time too to work on poses and try new things, and all with the help of new friends 🙂 I feel inspired to practice more at home now, to work in a more meditative way. Jen's energy was so radiant and welcoming, Shine is the perfect name for it!
I honestly left feeling like a different person!!! Re-energised! Jen and Jess were simply the best yogi hosts. Feel amazing after all the yoga, learning to breathe properly during the classes, wonderful food, location etc ensured the weekend was as relaxed as possible. Already feel more focused (enjoying the moment and just feeling grateful... I have taken so much away from Jen's teaching and outlook on life. Not to mention some new friends and terrific recipes.
An incredible weekend. Every thought made it a wonderful retreat experience, from the location to the teaching, the food and all the little bits like the chakra balancing aromatherapy oils, eye pillows and inspiring readings. Jen's personality is so naturally welcoming and her energy sublime, it set a natural tone for the weekend and I can personally say I felt truly at ease with myself the whole weekend. I feel really inspired to carry on with what I've achieved this weekend in yoga. I'm a happy yogi bunny after this weekend and I've made new friends for life.

As a yoga novice I was unsure what to expect but oh my goodness what a fantastic experience was in store. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, yoga I could undertake at my own pace / level and of course Jen was delightful. I have even changed some bad habits since the weekend! In a word, wonderful.
